What affects the cost of a wedding film?
Coverage
More hours and more stages of the day, prep, ceremony, reception, mean more filming and more to edit. Packages don't all cover identical parts of the day: check the included list on Packages for exactly what's covered.
Filmmakers and cameras
The Social Package and Highlights Film are filmed by one filmmaker. For the Feature Film and Director's Cut, James is the principal filmmaker and decides whether to bring an assistant or a second filmmaker based on the wedding's schedule and locations, not the package alone. Finished-film length
A short social edit, a Highlights Film, an Extended Highlights edit and a full Feature Film all take different amounts of editing, audio work and narrative organisation, which is reflected in the price.
Ceremony and speeches
Full ceremony and speech coverage is included with the Feature Film and Director's Cut, and can be added to the Social Package and Highlights Film. Extended Highlights can also incorporate ceremony and speech audio within the longer edit.
Additional edits and delivery
Social edits, longer highlights, full-length coverage, online sharing links, physical presentation boxes and USB delivery vary by package. Not every deliverable exists in every package: see Packages for exactly what's included.
Super 8
Real analogue film adds film-stock cost, processing, grading and a distinct capture process, on top of whichever package it's woven into (£649 add-on).

Highlights or Extended Highlights?
Sam & Tabs at Cripps Barn and Faye & Niall at Cripps Barn were both filmed at the same venue, which makes them a useful comparison: Sam & Tabs is a Highlights Film, shorter and more compressed, while Faye & Niall is Extended Highlights, giving more room to voices, ceremony material, speeches and the rhythm of the reception. Neither format is inherently better. The right choice depends on what you want to revisit afterwards.
